| DONATION CHECK PRESENTATION The Elk Creek Cafe & Ale House began a fundraising effort in June in conjunction with the annual Millheim Fire Company Carnival and the results of that effort was the presentation of a check in the amount of $660.00. During the course of the fundraiser which was the idea of Cafe & Ale House partner Tim Bowser, a portion of each pint of a special brew dubbed Old Bertha Red '99 was reserved for the fire company's benefit. Shown below is Millheim Fire Company President Dan Ake (left) receiving the donation check from Tim Bowser (right).
WEBMASTER'S personal comments (Not spoken as a representative of the Fire Company): It is very nice that a business in this day and age can come into a "downtown" environment and make a successful go of it and also support the community like it has shown above. To the owners and employees of the Elk Creek Cafe and Ale House: "Kudos, and continued good luck in your endeavor". |
