MILLHEIM FIREMAN'S RELIEF ASSOCIATION

The purpose of the Fireman's Relief Association of Millheim is for the purchase and maintenance of protective safety equipment approved by Act 68. The Relief Association receives almost all of it's income from foreign fire insurance proceeds collected by the Commonwealth from every non-Pennsylvania based fire insurance carrier that writes a fire insurance policy within the Commonwealth. The state then distributes from this fund to every relief association in the state based on various population and real estate values. The other source of income for the relief association is through investments.
