The Elk Creek Cafe has "brewed" up some support
for the Fire Company
18 June 2008
Thank You to the ownership and staff of the Elk Creek Cafe & Aleworks for
their recent ingenious support of the Fire Company. In 1909 the
Millheim Fire Company was formally organized and as a way to prepare for
next year's 100th Anniversary the brew master has concocted a vat of beer
that is called "Old Bertha Red 99".
Even though we no longer as firemen or fire ladies wish to be known for our
drinking capabilities, or condone alcoholic beverages, it is nice that this
local business has pledged to support the fire company with a 50 cent
donation for every pint of this special vat. SO, Drink up and support
the fire company.
Below is a couple of picture of some of the members "tapping the vat" so to
speak.
