Search and Rescue, 9 Mar 2007

After more than an estimated 10 hours exposed to the 10 to 15 degree weather, an lost individual wearing a t-shirt top without any coat was located using additional manpower and equipment from our surrounding mutual aid fire companies.  Penns Valley Emergency Medical Services, Gregg Township and Miles Township along with Mifflinburg Hose Company from neighboring Union County assisted in  the location of the individual right at first light following the individual's vehicle becoming disabled the previous evening in the mountains North of Aaronsburg.  Lifeflight was also called to expedite transfer of  patient to the hospital.
